What is Vintage?

The term Vintage jewelry refers to original jewelry pieces from a bygone era. For instance early Victorian jewelry is dated from 1838 to 1850, mid-Victorian ranges from 1850 to 1870, late Victorian ranges from 1870 to 1890, the Edwardian period is from 1890 to 1915, Art Deco 1920 to late 1930's, Retro Modern is from 1940 to late 1950's. We specialize in procuring, identifying and restoring these pieces of our jewelry history.

What is Contemporary?

The term Contemporary estate jewelry denotes previously owned jewelry pieces from a recent (past 30 years), period. They have contemporary styling and diamonds cut in the modern style. Sometimes they may have an old look, but on closer examination we have determined they are antique reproduction settings. Often they are custom made pieces at a fraction of their original cost.
